About Elizabeth Ren Zhang-Velten, MD
Elizabeth Ren Zhang-Velten, MD, PhD, is a radiation oncologist with Keck Medicine of USC who treats all adult cancers. She makes it a priority to educate her patients about their conditions and treatment options so they feel empowered to take active roles in their health care.
In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Zhang-Velten is passionate about research with a focus on molecular imaging. She is an award-winning investigator, and her work has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals. She has presented her research at conferences nationwide.
Her role includes helping to train future physicians. She serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, and sees patients at the Newport Beach radiation oncology and imaging center on MacArthur Blvd as well as Keck radiation oncology sites in Buena Park, Arcadia, and Los Angeles.
Outside of work, Dr. Zhang-Velten loves hiking with her husband and son, singing opera, and experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes.
